Davies & Co Lawyers was founded by our Principal, Mark Davies, with a clear vision: to establish a leading family law firm in Perth, dedicated to providing high-quality advice, representation, mediation and dispute resolution services in all areas of family and divorce law.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Leeds, England. After relocating to Australia in 2009, he completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Western Australia.

Mark is admitted to practice in:
• The Supreme Court of Western Australia
• The High Court of Australia
He is also a member of:
• The Law Society of Western Australia
• The Family Law Practitioners Association of Western Australia

Beyond his legal qualifications, Mark is an Accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, a Nationally Accredited Mediator, and a member of the Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and Mediators (AIFLAM). He also serves on the Family Law, Dispute Resolution, and Restraining Order panels of Legal Aid Western Australia.

In his capacity as a mediator and Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, Mark regularly chairs parenting and property settlement conferences through the Alternative Dispute Resolution Unit at Legal Aid WA. His focus is on helping parties reach practical, respectful outcomes without the need for litigation.

With deep expertise and a calm, strategic approach, Mark brings both legal insight and compassion to every matter to guide clients through challenging situations. He is dedicated to ensuring every client feel supported, informed, and empowered throughout their journey.

Mark’s commitment to excellence and community service has earned him a strong reputation within the profession. In recognition of his contribution, he was nominated for the Attorney General’s Community Service Law Awards (Legal Aid Panel Member Category) in 2023.

Thea Davies co-founded Davies & Co Lawyers alongside Mark Davies and has since become a vital part of the firm’s day-to-day operations, often serving as the first point of contact for many of our clients.

With a strong background in customer relations, administration, and business operations, Thea plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the practice. She is responsible for managing a wide range of operational functions, including:

• Office systems and IT infrastructure
• Accounts and billing
• HR and staff coordination
• Client communications and scheduling

Her attention to detail, organisational skill, and approachable nature help create a professional, welcoming environment for both clients and staff. Thea’s ability to manage the behind-the-scenes workings of the firm allows our legal team to stay focused on what matters most — delivering high-quality legal support and achieving positive outcomes for our clients.

Thea’s commitment to client care, combined with her operational leadership, makes her an integral part of the Davies & Co Lawyers team.

Sabrina Orczech has been employed at Davies & Co Lawyers since 2022 and was admitted as a Lawyer in October 2025. Sabrina graduated with a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours at the University of Notre Dame in 2024. During her studies, she developed a strong interest in family law, particularly the way legal decisions impact families and children.

Sabrina’s Honours thesis examined the influence of final Family Violence Restraining Orders made following a trial on the outcome of final parenting orders in Australian family law.

Sabrina joined Davies & Co Lawyers in July 2022 as a Paralegal and commenced her role as a Law Graduate in January 2025. She was admitted as a Lawyer of the Supreme Court of Western Australia in October 2025.

Throughout her time with the firm, Sabrina has gained experience across a broad range of parenting, property, contested estate, and family violence restraining order matters. She works closely with the firm’s Principal, Mark Davies, assisting in the management of complex cases and supporting clients through each stage of the legal process.

Sabrina is dedicated to supporting clients with empathy, professionalism, and careful attention to detail, recognising that family law matters are often deeply personal and complex. She offers clear, practical advice and strives to achieve fair and considered outcomes for every client.
